The process & the completion

I am the kind of person who doesn't mind a huge task so long as I know it'll eventually be over. And I mean over! But I also have a tendency to run away from tasks that involve a neverending process and no actual end. For instance, housework does not actually finish. It's an ongoing cycle. I'm learning now, however, to appreciate the process even when it leads to no end.

Today, I want to embrace the process of working out this website. Www.checkoutmycoolstuff.com has been quite the site and it has taken so much work. And then, hours into it, I see dozens of typos, instances of just plain bad writing, and incomplete links. I can't see excellence, and I'm completely unable to see any end to this. It's typical of me to give up when a project gets this thorny. So I'm writing here to ask you to keep me accountable. Fill out the site email form and remind me of how long I have worked, how hard, and tell me what you like. I'd appreciate your help. (smile)

Thanks!
Nope, no great message this time, but I'll work on it for next time. (grin)

A Tuesday to Remember

Today could have been an ordinary Tuesday, but instead, it's become so full of amazing moments, details, and doings that it's now become a memorable day. For instance, I bathed a dog who for some reason had chosen to breed fleas at a professional level. I folded laundry and enjoyed thinking about my great family as I touched each person's clothes. I sat in front of the computer and fixed broken links on our site. And I thought about all the ways God might make tomorrow better. I am feeling productive. (smile)

To make a throwaway day, all I had to do was toss it away with inaction. Instead, now I've made it eventful. Tomorrow, I have a lot of work to do. That means another great, memorable day. Can't wait to see it unfold!
